MAZATZEL MOUNTAIN AIRPARK is located in Payson, Arizona at the base of the Mogollon Rim in Central Ariozona. It is nicely situated between cooler mountain climages to the north and rugged desert to the south. At an elevation of 5,000 ft. and surrounded by rolling hills and mountain vistas, the regional climate is characterized by four mild seasons. Of special note: this is the location of the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world and thus offers the cleanest outdoor air possible. Payson sits midway between Phoenix and Flagstaff and is near three National Forests. Phoenix is an easy 90 minute drive.
